Firewall Forward

<<A bit early but: I can plan my engine mount/cowling around a Lycoming IO-360  200 HP  .....  It's at TBO and will have to be overhauled before the final installation >>
<< On the stand .....

Cylinders off; Disassembling the motor, so I can send the parts out for overhaul >>

< Now the re-assembly, complete cylinder assembly (new pistons, valves, rings) , crank, cam, followers, and case re-certified, new bolts, bearings, gaskets/seals, etc... >
< Starting the assembly, case together, and one rod on.

Cylinders on. >

< Mounting the engine, (wasn't too bad, about 30 minutes by myself ... I followed George Orndorff instructions (~ pretty much).

Heater box, right side.>

<Oil cooler (to be mounted on the firewall (instead of on the rear baffle).

Electric pump and plumbing.>

I initially choose the left side because I was going to mount the inverted oil tank on the right side firewall. After all the measuring, I don't like the placement of the oil cooler, it would basically blow (hot ?) air over the gascolator/fuel line as it comes out of the firewall.  PLAN B: put the oil cooler on the right side firewall (after all) and mount the inverted oil tank on the engine mount just behind cylinder # 3 ..........
