Engine Baffles |
| < Starting the baffles; the instructions are for the
parallel valve (not to mention I had page 1,3,& 5. I'm assuming
there was a page 2, 4, etc.) I've also heard the instructions aren't
that great. Armed with the drawing and acouple photos (downloaded
from the web) the baffles turned out to be straight forward )
Left inlet, and temp riser.> |
||
| < Behind # 3 cylinder is this brace, the screw hole was
off about a quarter of on inch (hole moved in direction of yellow arrow).
Overall the baffles fit pretty good.
The ring gear did touch the inlet baffle, I trimmed about 3/8th of an inch off ( which was too much !).> |
||
| < I made a cardboard template, so I'd know where to cut
the oil line.
Got the hole in the right spot > |
||
| <When the induction tube is centered the on the servo; the top end pushes the side baffle out (filter still in plastic). If I place the top side where I think it would work, then note right photo. There's going to be some cutting and pasting involved in this,.... maybe there's something else to work on.> | ||
| <The front right side has the screw on the top side of
the baffle (in the 3/4 angle doubler). The other 3 corners all ready had a
hole in the baffling for the attachment point.
Right side marked for air filter > |
||
| < The cut for the filter.
I had to take about an inch of "length" out of the induction tube> |
||
| < The cut and fiberglassing it back together> |
